Indonesia is strategic country and rich of agriculture (pepper, cloves and et cetera), that makes so many European countries interesting and the first European arrived in Indonesia in1512 and in 1602 British and Dutch come to Indonesia and colonize Indonesia for long time (Dutch colonize Indonesia for three and half century). Before Japan also colonize Indonesia for three and half year but finally Indonesia get independence on 17th August 1945 after struggle with colonial. Since that Independence day, capital of Indonesia is Jakarta last time named Batavia and Indonesia currency is Rupiah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesia, 28th October 2008).

Indonesia? well,i've heard of it,beautiful no doubt, but dangerous. Getting news like the bali bombings and other not so good stories makes you have reservations about the place. It's like a beautiful sexy lady who has aides; you like her,but you don't wanna touch her!
If the security of the area and other social factors become more accepting to the world community,it would provide an excellent opportunity for people to visit the place. I'd go there myself,but passing through thailand........
yeah its true Indonesia is very beautiful as a country.i never get luck to been there but my friends told me that this is very beautiful country by nature,peoples are very friendly and the culture of Indonesia is also nice.i heared bali is one of the beautiful beach of Asia continent.after read ur article i wish to go indonesia for visit.but im also scared for the bombing attack at bali.....
I have never been to Indonesia, but if there is a chance I would like to go there. Especially Bali where I heard it has a historial place called the Angkor Wat.
As I know for a huge country, there are many different cultures that are being practiced in different region and it will be very interesting to know more about indonesia.

Indonesia, a country of around 250 million people in South East Asia, is abundant in natural beauty; soaring volcanoes, spectacular rice terraces, and some of the best diving in the world.I have been to bali before an Indonesians are very friendly people they are naturally curious about foreigners and will pay you a lot of attention – whether you are walking down the street or sipping a quiet beer in a bar. Most of the attention involves basic questions: “Where are you from?” “What do you think of Indonesia?” If you speak a smattering of Indonesian then you will be granted a certain degree of respect; you have made the effort and Indonesians will make the effort to understand even the most pigeon form of Indonesian,i am sorry to say this but in my opinion, although the country is rich in their culture and heritage they are some problems to be taken in action like Strains for Malaysia, which could face boatloads of illegal migrants to add to the many already in the country and the politics as well in Indonesia that gives a bad impression to other countries that makes Indonesia seem to be a rotten country but its not true , all this can be counter if the government and its people learn to be at peace with each other this could help things settle faster , and if they can pull out of this dilemma Indonesia would solve a little bit of the countries problem !, but no doubt Indonesia is a beautiful country and a lovely place to visit
I would like to go Indonesia if there is a chance for me. I have heard the beauty of the island especially in Bali from my friends and family. But yet, i have also heard that Indonesia is one of dangerous place to visit because of terrorism. Although terrorism in Indonesia is decreasing, the mindset of tourist still think that terrorism is still at large there. In this case, the government of Indonesia should do something about it.

I feel it’s better to see instead of judge. I heard a lot about the good and bad factors of there. The thing is that, I have seen many people who I do believe in their choices that have gone there like our beloved lecturer. Its means we all can trust his choice and try there at least once during these days that we are in this region, regardless on how mush gossips we heard so far.
Well,Indonesia is my neighbour country but I haven't been there!!I heard that Bali was a nice place to go for holiday.It is naturally beautiful to have a relax and romantic holiday with your love ones.Most of the things there is cheap other than China which we can buy without paying tax but only for some places.Indonesia was also a country that rich with traditions and cultures which some of it was adapted into Malaysia.However,I would love and glad to visit Indonesia as my holiday destiny because of the money exchange rate,language and natural beauty of Indonesia.
Indonesia is very beautiful contry in asia and there have some beautiful island in Indonesia.I have to know Indonesia is in my high school,and i know Indonesia has many island.Second i know about the Indonesia have big racism problem between the local and Indonesia chinese.
Well i heard a lot about Indonesia and nearly went there last July but dint find a friend to company me and so spended the money. I knew some friends who have been there and they really enjoyed it there and told me i should pay it a visit. Ofcourse i heard about Bali and its historical regions which makes it one of the best tourism island to visit in east south Asia.
I wish i find a chance to visit Indonesia before i leave this country but unlike Eric i will come back through Thailand.
